Position Summary
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to help us meet our growing production needs on Day Shift (5am-1:30pm). In this role, you will work in our sheet metal shop operating our Trump press brakes to fabricate high precision metal parts. Preference shall be granted to candidates with Trumpf press brake experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Trumpf CNC press brakes to fabricate sheet metal parts.
- Plan and layout bending sequence referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications.
- Load, install and set up required tooling.
- Download proper operating programs, making minor adjustments to meet part specifications.
- Set up various types of metal in performing operations in forming.
- Follow standard procedures to bend various products of small, light to average weight to meet close tolerances
- Regularly inspect parts for conformance with specifications and quality standards
- Perform basic maintenance on shop equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area following prescribed safety standards.
- Experience operating CNC press brake machines – required (Trumpf – preferred)
- Experience working with metals – required
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent - required
- Ability to perform basic programming of machines
- Ability to communicate effectively and speak, read and write English
- Ability to interpret specific instructions, diagrams and blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of CNC machining programs
- Dependability and strong work ethic
