Job Description
The brake press machine operator inspects, programs, and operates the brake press machine. This position has the responsibility of making sure that all materials are broke correctly and that they match the order/processing list.
Essential Functions
1. Review processing list for size of material to be broke and verifies dimensions
2. Reviews processing list for what configuration material is to be broke to
3. Selects die for configuration of how material is to be broke
4. Adjusts pressure and back gage
5. Brakes material and verifies that dimensions are correct
6. Identifies material according to processing list
7. Bands and tags material for shipment and stages material

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the shop. The noise level in the workplace can be loud.
