Education/Work Preference:
- Associates degree in education or related field preferred
- 2+ years experience preferred (Daycare, Preschool, Day Care, Child Care, Childcare)
- CPR/First Aid
- Current qualifying letter (Mandatory)
- Must have flexible hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets arriving children, helps them remove outerwear, and selects activities of interest to them.
- Establishes clear objectives and lesson plans on a weekly basis.
- Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Organizes and maintains activities, centers, materials and supplies.
- Alerting the director when materials or supplies need to be replaced
- Maintaining all classroom forms including but not limited to daily and monthly attendance, daily reports, and topical ointment forms.
- Observes and evaluates children's performance, behavior and social development.
- Participates in staff development activities, parent education and parent involvement activities.
- Consistently engages with children
- Maintains supervision of the children at all times
- Maintains a healthy and safe environment at all times
- Maintain a clean and orderly classroom
- Meets with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
- Aid in diapering
- Enforces all administration policies and rules governing students.
- Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
