Lead Teacher

Early childhood education professionals, Kiddie Kollege, a well-established Early Learning Center, located in Durham, NC has an immediate opening for someone who is passionate about playing a pivotal role in the early development of children. We are looking for Early Educators who are have it in their heart to teach young children and are also dedicated, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic.

Education Requirements

Associates or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field required

Classroom Experience

2 Years’ experience

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing an educational program of developmentally appropriate activities of children in care
  • Provides activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children
  • Provides a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors
  • Assure the welfare, health and safety of the children
  • Organizing and maintaining classroom activity areas, materials and supplies
  • Maintain constant supervision of children
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents
  • Good communications with other staff to create a professional atmosphere
  • Attend pre-service and in-service training as required
  • Understand N.C. Child Care requirements
  • Keep the director informed of any classroom issues/concerns

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Current Qualifying Letter from DCDEE Criminal Record Check
  • Current documentation of Negative TB Test (within the past 12 months)
  • Current employment physical (within the past 12 months)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Knowledge of state child care and sanitation regulations

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:
