Moxie's is a premium casual restaurant with Canadian roots. We have an internationally inspired menu made entirely from scratch, an elevated steak program sourced locally through Miami Purveyors, an outstanding signature cocktail program, and a refined wine list with more than 70 labels. We're extremely proud of our menu and our Chefs work diligently to keep it modern and fresh. Our hours of operation are 11am - 1am Sundays through Wednesdays & 11am - 2am Thursdays through Saturdays. We are now hiring for our entire team - service, culinary, and support. The most important attribute that you can bring to the team is a positive attitude and a desire to learn!

Here's what you'll do:

  • Daily preparation and management of fresh made prep recipes
  • Management of prep charts ensuring freshness, shelf life and proper food safe practices are controlled
  • Produce all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner
  • Follow the specifications, recipes, and techniques of our company
  • Adherence to cost control guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Scale and portion items accurately and record prepared amounts
  • Clean, sanitize and organize work area for next day.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous cooking experience in a full service restaurant is an asset
  • Knife handling skill and knowing the proper cut sizes
  • Math skills with counting and basic addition and subtraction
  • Ability to work construct fully in a faced paced environment
  • Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment
  • Friendly, upbeat, outgoing, positive, social, excited to meet new people
  • Interested in improving one's skill set and learning about food & beverage every day
  • Food safety certificate mandatory to begin work
