We are seeking a PreOp Nurse PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Join our team as a Preoperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. As a valued addition to our company, you will exhibit the values of HCA as a whole, as well as your individual center, providing quality care like family.

What you will do in this role:

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Preop, PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required

Specialty Surgery Center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. We were founded in 2002. We are licensed by the state of Nevada and the federal Medicare programs. The center is AAAHC accredited. Our facility performs over 850 cases a month. We provide services in gastroenterology, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, podiatry and urology. The center performs cochlear implants and are looking to add total joint replacement in the future. We are a member of the HCA Healthcare Ambulatory Surgery Division
