Directs, supervises and coordinates staff and activities at assigned clinic to ensure the delivery of quality patient service. This position ensures staff complies with all regulatory initiatives and policies and procedures and works with senior management to support effective clinic operations. The Supervisor of Clinic Operations will also provide support to clinic staff in the absence of the Clinic Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the office
  • Manages office operations to maximize patient access, patient satisfaction, and collection of payments
  • Manages human resource items; hiring, on-boarding, coaching and evaluating. Seeks to create a team environment
  • Ensures practice compliance with patient health and safety policies, procedures and programs
  • Collects clinic performance and quality metrics and produces reports for management
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field or an Associate’s Degree plus 1 year of experience or 2 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of clinic operations or healthcare experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations
  • Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques
  • Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
  • Skill in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data
  • Skill in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-making
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor’s diagnosis of disease
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
