Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Post Closing Lead, the Post Closing Specialist is responsible for the review and verification of closed loan packages to ensure the loans are accurate, complete and compliant in accordance to agency and/or investor guidelines. This role will communicate with settlement agents, customers and ICG employees to obtain missing information and/or documentation for the closed loan package.

Reporting to the Post Closing Lead, the Post Closing Specialist is responsible for the review and verification of closed loan packages to ensure the loans are accurate, complete and compliant in accordance to agency and/or investor guidelines. This role will communicate with settlement agents, customers and ICG employees to obtain missing information and/or documentation for the closed loan package.
Essential Duties Include:
- Ensure company receives fully executed files in a timely fashion from closing agents
- Works to obtain signature on missing or additional documents from lender, customers, closing agent
- Remedy post-closing issues or missing items through contact with closing agents, customers and/or ICG employees
- Monitor and ensure all Investor outstanding document requests are responded to in a timely manner this includes the submitting of missing documents and correction of any custodial defects
- Prepare, as required, any additional follow-up documentation required by investor for the purchase of loans
- Prepare, as required, any investor required documents on seasoned loans
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding documentation
- Ensure that Loan Origination System (LOS) Encompass is accurate
- Assist loan delivery on clearing any Pool exceptions and effectively communicate on any fatal exceptions preventing the pooling of a loan.
- Track and Mange receipt of Vendor images of Closing Packages
- Other duties as needed or required
Education/Work Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience
- 2+ years' experience in Post-Closing, Closing, Quality Control, or Operations required
- Knowledge and recognition of residential mortgage loan documentation (such as closing package and credit package, on Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA), within streamline, full doc refinance, and purchase loan types
- Strong interpersonal, communications, organizational and presentation skills required
- Able to work independently, as well as within a team environment
- Possess good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Able to adapt to the continuously changing environment of the department's priorities and guidelines provided by the government agencies
- Perform to a strict level of performance standards involving both quality and quantity
- Ability to work in a highly paced and dynamic environment
- Detail oriented
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams
- Experience with Encompass required
- Ability to sit/stand at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Travel to corporate office/meetings as needed < 10%
