Job Description

Typical business work hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, some overtime may be required. As a Mortgage Post-Closer you will be expected to demonstrate a sense of urgency, willingness to work closely with others, and be part of a team whose primary focus is service to our customers, and investors as you will be their main point of contact. This is a non-exempt position.


Purpose:

The Mortgage Post-Closing position prepares loan packages for investor purchase. This position also supports the Correspondent Lending Department and provides an internal audit of the files pre-funding to ensure they meet investor and agency guidelines. Duties will also include obtaining missing information, preparing files and providing support to internal and external customers. This job will also require familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures with this
particular field.



Essential Functions/Duties:

1– Organize and “stack” mortgage loan files for the applicable loan type.

2– Review and validate loan file for completeness to eliminate/cure deficiencies.

3– Prepare allonge and assignments as needed.

4– Update system with funding information.

5– Validate HMDA information.

6– Cure and all deficiencies on a loan file.

a. Analyze deficiency for accuracy

b. Determine if documentation to cure currently exists

c. Determine if alternate documentation to cure currently exists

d. Work with appropriate team member to cure deficiencies as needed

e. Work with the closing agent and/or customer to cure deficiencies as needed

7– Track and follow up on investor funding’s

8– Scan into electronic folder, check file for all necessary documentation and transmit completed loan files to investor.

9– Assist with obtaining “trailing documents” (i.e. final title policy, recorded mortgages, etc.)

10– Protect Company’s reputation and image by maintaining Borrower confidence; deliver a high-level of customer service by keeping mortgage loan information
confidential.

11– Honesty and integrity in dealing with others and accountability in standing behind your work; initiative and self-motivation in serving the client, getting
the job completed thoroughly and on time; ability to listen to others and understand their needs; confidence in yourself and enthusiasm regarding your service. Organizational skills in having the ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks at the same time.

12– Other duties as assigned.

Required & Preferred Education & Experience:

Ø High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred; College degree desired.

Ø Intermediate computer proficiency skills with MS Office software including Excel and Mortgage Loan Applications/Software) Encompass 360 desired.

Ø Minimum of one (1) year of recent work experience in mortgage loan support or processing; three (3) years’ of work experience in mortgage loan industry desired.

Ø Detail-oriented, define & solve problems and able to work overtime as needed.

Ø Excellent customer service skills; written and oral communication skills and ability to demonstrate control, flexibility and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with internal and external customers and changing work demand.

Ø Knowledge of current federal and state regulatory requirements and broad base of experience in multiple areas of mortgage servicing operations a plus.

Ø Ability to multi-task and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
