MARKETING LEAD

We seek an experienced marketing professional for a portfolio marketing lead role. Reporting to the technology marketing manager, the lead is responsible for the successful delivery of content, sales material, promotional efforts and event presentations requested by our business stakeholders.

As the point of contact for integrated technology marketing initiatives, you vet new projects which will include thought leadership, events and sales enablement, assess and route them through the best activation channels (either internal resources or outsourced to our production agency). A successful marketing lead will understand our technology audience deeply, have a keen appreciation for data-driven decision-making, develop and build strong relationships with the marketing activation team (copy editors and designers) and business stakeholders. You’ll also own market insights for the technology team and advise on successful promotional strategies. The ideal candidate has experience as a marketing generalist, is comfortable working with executives, possesses a keen eye for detail, has a customer-focused mindset, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner and able to work independently. This is a new role within ZS and our model candidate will also help to further define new role responsibilities. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Share market and promotional insights with the technology team
  • Manage content for ZS owned channels like client newsletters
  • Identify synergies and opportunities to cross-promote ZS technology offerings
  • Work with key technology areas to build out value propositions
  • Work with business stakeholder to define audience, business objectives and project scope of various initiatives, and set expectations;
  • Identify the production channel (in-house or agency)
  • Initiate project in workflow system
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and activation team; answer questions or clarify requests about process and delivery if needed
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders, internal and external resources
  • Lead special projects as assigned by manager
  • Manage one marketing associate
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing or a related business discipline
  • Experience leading complex cross functional projects to a successful outcome
  • Proven ability to think through business problems and develop action plans
  • 8+ years of B2B professional services marketing experience in a functional, industry or product role
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial-driven, matrixed organizations and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Critical thinking and the capacity for innovative and original thought with supreme attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work at early morning hours, think ahead and leverage time with global colleagues effectively so that individual work achieves maximum impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
