INVESTMENT OPERATIONS SOLUTIONS (Middle Office)


At BNY Mellon, our data-centric service model helps provide clients with clean, scrubbed information to support the investment process, from post-trade execution to client communications. Our Investment Operations solution is a full lifecycle of investment activities through an integrated data, technology and operations model that supports all product types. Offering a full spectrum of services: trade support, derivatives and collateral management, bank loan support, investment book of record (IBOR), investment performance, and data management.

Portfolio Accounting and Reconciliations are the centerpieces of our service model to maintain our clients' Investment Book of Record (IBOR). We offer flexibility to meet our clients’ accounting requirements while being adaptive to their workflows and specific business requirements. We utilize various reconciliations to enable consistent data to be available to our clients' front office investment management process.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and resolve cash breaks with the aim of minimizing potential risk
  • Researches and resolves operational and/or accounting exceptions to ensure the accuracy of accounting data within portfolio
  • Perform related duties as assigned and ensure deadlines/deliverables are met in accordance with the internal and client SLAs
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder to resolve/escalate queries/issues
  • Provide excellent client service and accommodate client requests in a fast pace and evolving environment
  • Prioritize and manage multiple reporting deadlines, maintain checklist to ensure all requirements have been met prior to the approving of reports
  • Review operating procedures and ensure they are followed while performing tasks/processes.
  • Maintain specific knowledge and skills that are essential in performing the role effectively
  • Proactively share new ideas / process enhancements that could result in a benefit to the team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related degree.
  • Basic understanding of financial products and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Client centric thinking
  • Intellectual curiosity, investigative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Adapt to changes and new challenges
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability
  • Very good working knowledge of Excel
