Plant Manager

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee daily production and warehousing operations and will ensure the efficiency of all employees in all areas of operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Schedules Production for value stream
• Schedules Inbound Containers
• Verifies all outbound LTL shipments and process the orders.
• Calls in all the carriers for daily shipments ( # of shipments, carriers)
• Schedules pick-ups with Customer specific carriers
• Purchases both inventory supply items and non-inventory Supply items
• Audits and authorize payments for vendor repair work
• Validates and process the Production documents weekly and month end
• Track and report KPI to senior staff members
• Schedules inbound Purchase orders receipts and outbound truckload shipments.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Responsible for managing, training, and interviewing warehouse staff (14-15 ppl)
• Performs discipline and coaching of staff as needed
• Makes consistent employment decisions and maintains effective communications with staff

Education, Certifications and Licensures:

• 5 years of experience managing in a warehouse environment
• Effective organization, planning, and prioritization skills
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities
• Bilingual (highly preferred)
