POSITION SUMMARY: The Clubhouse Program Manager oversees the smooth running of the transformative Work-Ordered Day at the PLAN @ 1121 Rock Clubhouse and supports the goal of providing a thriving place of meaningful work, meaningful relationships and a safe and respectful place to belong for all members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Oversee the Work-Ordered Day of the Clubhouse
- Coordinates the coverage of responsibilities of the Staff Generalists as it relates to Unit coverage (Member Services, Culinary, etc.), Daily Calls, our Garden, Snack Bar, White Boards, transportation and special projects.
- Assists and trains Staff Generalists in their efforts to creatively engage Clubhouse members in the operating needs of the Clubhouse, promoting member independence and self-reliance. Specific Clubhouse tasks include but are not limited to meal planning and food preparation, electronic tracking of information, preparing Clubhouse communication projects, gardening and participating in social events and field trips.
- Maintains budgets associated with food purchasing, collection of donations, facility maintenance and reporting of data associated with staff and member activity in Flourish.
- Oversees activities of volunteers who may participate in the Work-Ordered Day
B. Event Planning
- Supervises and participates in event planning and set ups associated with Clubhouse socialization activities, Open House activities designed to solicit new members and partnerships, and Holiday coverage.
C. Enforces Safety Standards at Clubhouse Activities
- Maintains mindfulness of safety concerns at the Clubhouse facility and at Clubhouse activities related to COVID, food preparation and other concerns.
- Schedules regular opportunities to keep staff and members educated and informed of such standards.
D. Promotes and abides by Clubhouse International Standards in all aspects of the Clubhouse operation
- Operates the Clubhouse in accordance with all guidelines of the Clubhouse International Accreditation at all times.
- Effectively informs and communicates to members the importance of Clubhouse values at PLAN @ 1121 Rock.
- Supports efforts to prioritize, promote and celebrate member successes to include employment and education gains.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to community partners regarding the history of and uniqueness of the Clubhouse model versus other modes of mental health rehabilitation that stresses the need to pursue advocacy to support individuals with mental illness
- Pursues Clubhouse training opportunities for staff and members and promotes colleague Clubhouse engagement
E. Staff Administration and Development
- Leads by example in the training, directing and empowering of staff.
- Pursues Clubhouse training opportunities for staff and members and promotes colleague Clubhouse engagement.
- Approves and tracks employee hours in Paylocity
- Provides appropriate feedback to employees on performance and facilitates the annual Performance Review process for the team.
F. Other
- Works closely with Director and JFS Administration to maintain and establish Clubhouse priorities.
- Presents regular updates on Clubhouse activities to the PLAN Advisory Board and other entities, as needed
- Identifies and shares success stories and notable member achievements to support JFS/PLAN Marketing efforts
- Works in conjunction with the PLAN Connections Case Management team
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree or commensurate experience in mental health field or other related field.
- Familiarity with the Clubhouse Model of psychosocial rehabilitation a plus.
- Ability to convey empathy, respect and concern for those with the unique experience of severe and persistent mental illness and their families, have knowledge of trauma-informed care, and to be able to monitor and coach Activities of Daily Living.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to engage a team in various activities, to handle periodic crises.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Good organization skills, reliable, with a strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required
- Valid Texas driver’s license, clean driver’s record and have a safe vehicle for transport.
