Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney Positions – Litigation / Trial

HEIDARI LAW GROUP, P.C., is one of the fastest growing and successful Plaintiff's Personal Injury law firms in California and Nevada, with principal offices in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, but additional offices throughout both states. We have a growing reputation and the respect of adversaries in our ethical but firm representation of our clients’ interests.

We currently have two litigation attorney and one trial attorney to add to our growing team of four lawyers in Los Angeles, California. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates eager to take ownership of his/her own cases and who is not afraid of gaining trial experience. Unlike other firms, we pride ourselves on taking our cases from intake and up and through to trial, if necessary, which provides our employees and candidates the perfect opportunities to gain extensive trial, litigation, and negotiation experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling all aspects of litigation from pre-litigation filings and discovery to mediations, arbitrations, and including jury trials, if necessary. Our attorneys are always supported by an excellent staff of paralegals and legal assistants to ensure that a positive work environment keeps all employees working as a team.

LITIGATION ASSOCIATE POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideal candidate has two (2) to seven (7) year of civil litigation experience.
  • Handle between forty (40) to seventy (70) cases, depending on experience.
  • Personal injury experience is a huge plus.
  • Employment law experience is a plus, though not necessary.
  • Strong familiarity with legal research, including Shephardizing and/or KeyCiting law for law and motion purposes.
  • WestlawNext and/or LexisAdvance is a huge plus.
  • Federal Court litigation not necessary, but welcome. We will teach you.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent clients in cases involving products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury matters
  • Taking and defending depositions (including those of Plaintiff and experts, witnesses, etc.)
  • Law and Motion – Research and drafting of Motions and Oppositions to various motion types, including but not limited to Motions for Summary Judgment and Demurrers, as well as Discovery-related Motions.
  • Trial Preparation, including Motions in Limine and Special Verdict Forms, Jury Instructions, and any other related tasks to support the firm in preparation for Trial.
  • Propounding discovery and responding to discovery.
  • Drafting complaints ranging from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases.

TRIAL ATTORNEY POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • All of the qualifications listed for the Litigation Associate, including:
  • Four (4) to ten (10) years of personal injury trial experience.
  • Or, at least ten (10) personal injury jury trials taken through to verdict.
  • Employment law experience is a plus, though not necessary.
  • Federal Court trial experience is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly handle twenty (20) to forty (40) cases anticipated to be likely jury trials.
  • 8 to 12 cases taken per year to trial, with anticipation of those to reach ultimate jury verdict.
  • Drafting Motion In Limine and other pre-trial motions
  • Post-trial Motion Drafting and Argument
  • Ability to handle all responsibilities of a litigation associate as firm needs arise.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Nevada State Bar (NV Bar) licensure is a plus, but not required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong time management skills, including prioritization of cases and adhering to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the Court.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, time management, and project management skills in handling the caseloads required of the position.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment with other lawyers and paralegals
  • Fully Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
