Physical Therapy Assistant Position Overview
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services to a wide variety of patients, in patient care area including inpatient, outpatient, home care, and skilled nursing settings, and may provide weekend treatment to inpatients. This position will support inpatient and outpatient environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Graduations from a PTA program, with the ability to adhere to and maintain expertise regarding federal and state regulations and specific carrier requirements

Licensure

• Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license by the Oregon Physical Therapist Licensing Board
• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association
• Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past 10 years and proof of insurance may also be required

Required Skills

• Ability to process information and to problem-solve individually and within a team setting
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately and to manager time well
• Flexibility with scheduling along with the ability to provide inpatient treatment on a weekend rotation, or ability to provide treatment at two sites
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, families, coworkers, physicians, and community members
