The Opportunity
Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Aide for our Great Neck, NY outpatient facility. This position is an excellent opportunity for students or recent college graduates looking to expand their knowledge of the physical therapy and healthcare field.
What you will be doing:
- Greeting patients when they arrive at the facility
- Assisting therapists to administer exercise programs as needed
- Interacting with patients to promote a friendly and positive atmosphere
- Maintaining the general organization of the clinic.
- Prepares hot and cold packs.
- Maintains and cleans the treating tables.
- Assist with patient flow within the facility as per the direction of the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Strong interest in the physical therapy or medical field.
- Patient-first mentality.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-starter.
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- May spend long periods of time stooping, kneeling or crouching.
- Students in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant programs are strongly preferred.
