Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides inpatient acute care services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high quality healthcare.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Physical Therapy inpatient services of cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, pulmonary and medical-surgical patients
  • Educate patient and family members
  • Work with interdisciplainary team for plan of care
  • Knowledge of hospital, Joint Commission, state and federal guidelines


Requirements:

  • Must be able to work weekend days
  • Weekday available for required orientation and training period
  • NYS licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Graduate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Strong communication skills
  • Hospital experience required
