- Design and Installation of existing systems, installation of new systems, and proactive initiatives
- Performing device programming and configuration changes requested by the client.
- Performing daily enterprise system checks and status checking of communication links.
- Documenting Service Requests in ticketing system and ensuring tickets are closed as issues are resolved.
- Assisting in calls relating to workstations, software, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring, etc.
- Telephone and service desk support of technicians, system operational staff, and customers
- Providing initial diagnostic troubleshooting and determining root cause of simple network and systems problems
- Performing backups of databases.
- Performing daily archiving of events, alarm acknowledgements, and user transactions.
- Reviewing the security system's database error log files to include check of integrity and size of database on all servers.
- Developing and completing preventive maintenance checklists.
Leadership
- Provide support for customers, other system engineers and administrators, installation team, and the maintenance team, with utmost courteous and attentive level
- Mentor junior level team members
- Assists in scheduling of tasks within an assigned project when needed
- Create technical documentation for customers and in-house staff
- Keeps up-to-date documentation of applications, systems, and network equipment
- Produces support documentation
- Logs calls and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response with acceptable time frames for the user community
- Maintain and update customer site documentations
- Manage assigned tickets and assist in managing ticket queue on a daily basis
- Receive or assign service tickets and service all assigned tickets to the best of your abilities

Education, Experiences & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM program
- Scripting/Programming Skills in SQL
- Tyco’s Software House Ccure 8000/9000 - Required within 3 months of hire
- Lenel, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch IDS, Honeywell Prowatch, Honeywell Maxpro, Avigilon, Genetec, and Milestone certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
- Attention to detail in the execution of Performance Verification Tests
- Troubleshoot and Repair electronic security systems

- Knowledge of AC/DC Circuits
- Understanding of Relay Logic
- Conduct physical security site surveys and inspections, and hardware and software assessments. Draft results of surveys, inspections, and assessments to include detailed evaluations and recommendations for review and revision. This includes generation of cost estimates and/or Statements of Work.
- The Candidate must be able to integrate all physical, technical and system security requirements, including but not limited to Access Control, intrusion detection systems (IDS), closed circuit video (CCV), ballistic protection, and duress systems, into the overall security design, using AutoCAD, Visio, Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Word.
- Provide technical support on the following defined security systems, to include ACS / IDS / CCTV / intercoms; perimeter security systems, including portals / walk-through metal detectors (WTMD) / x-ray machines / gate / vehicle barriers; and door hardware.
- Identify and diagnose issues for service / repair on ACS / IDS / CCTV / intercoms; perimeter security systems and door hardware.
- Manage / track service history for all defined systems.
- Meet with equipment vendors to discuss service / maintenance issues.
- Create / manage service requests for all defined systems.
- Provide escort to vendors for all defined systems.
- Notify and work with building supervisory organization of issues with defined systems.
- Test defined systems after repair to confirm proper functionality and close out service request.
- Assist in review of alteration, expansion, and new construction documentation to identify security related items that require revision or further clarification to meet applicable standards. Provide technical assistance on physical security requirements and standards, especially during project development. Participate in project meetings with Facilities Management, Client field offices, other federal agencies and building contractors.
- Provide technical assistance on physical security systems troubles and issues to the Client personnel, Physical Security Specialists, and other customers related to Access Control, IDS, CCV, ballistic protection and duress systems. Assistance can be in the form of telephone/email support, remote in capability, or on-site visits.
- Coordinate the installation of security systems with the Client, federal partners, and the security vendor. Assist the Physical Security Staff with the receiving and deployment of Security Equipment.
- Take part in special projects and studies affecting the overall security of Client facilities and property.
- Participate in cross-training and assist with the training of new personnel, as directed.
- Submit time and expense reports per Company protocols, comply with Company and contract policies and procedures, support other duties as assigned by PSN lead and/or Company Leadership.
- Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, stay alert and focused, and coordinate and manage electronic security equipment.
- Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases and email.
