PHP Developer

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer
Location: Remote

Type: Full-time employee

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a mid-level PHP Developer to help us with developing applications using the Yii2 Framework. This application uses MySQL as its database. Responsibilities will involve both maintenance of and new development on LAMP-stack applications.

This individual will be highly motivated, driven, and organized to stay on target with timelines. Must be able to manage time while working remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primarily focused on the growth and enhancement of our video services by connecting our API’s into new products and features within the company framework.

Qualification and Requirements:

Must align with the company’s core values

At least 2 years working with PHP.
Strong knowledge of MVC PHP web frameworks. Yii2 experience is preferred, but experience with any other PHP framework (Zend, Cake, etc) is acceptable.
Understanding of MVC design patterns.
Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. jQuery experience is very desirable.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Experience with MySQL and SQL.
Experience with source control, particularly Git.
Ability to work on a Linux command line is helpful.

Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability and discipline to work remotely. High-speed internet is required.

Preferred:

Real Estate industry experience
Associates degree or higher level of education preferred
