Phlebotomist

Ensures the highest level of service to all requesting stations for the procurement of blood samples. May perform limited laboratory procedures in planting, processing, expediting and reference lab station. Promotes a positive friendly image to patients, visitors and other hospital personnel. Obtains and enters all pertinent personal, financial, and insurance information concerning patients into the computer system (Hospital and Laboratory), via CRT, to accurately and expeditiously process inpatient and outpatient registrations and specimens and to initiate the claims process as necessary.

Required:

• High school diploma.
• Certification from an accredited agency for Phlebotomy.
• Data entry experience

Preferred:

• Formal college course work.

Must have can-do attitude and outstanding customer service orientation; flexibility, reliability and good communication skills required. These positions require some weekends and holidays.
