Pharmacy Technician (Non-Certified)

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must demonstrate mathematical proficiency.

Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:

Technician Certification or graduate of Pharmacy Technician Training Program desirable.

Skills:

Mathematics, reading, computer skills required.

Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements:

Moderate physical effort: lift/carry up to 30 lbs.

Frequent prolonged standing/walking

Lifts equipment/supplies

Pushes/pulls, moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies

Manual dexterity

Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching

Ability to communicate verbally

Working Conditions:

May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases

May be exposed to toxic chemicals

Occasionally subjected to irregular hours

Requires action which could result in death of patient

Extensive use of computer equipment

Blood Borne Pathogen Risk:

Category III. Tasks involve no exposure to blood and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment.
