We are recruiting experienced Pharmacy Technicians to help kids on their path to better health. We provide education and training so that you can grow professionally and personally while staying up to date on new products and services, while promoting innovative ways to care for our patients.

Currently we have full- and part-time positions available. These positions rotate on Days and Evenings.

Starting pay is $17.00/hour plus additional shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts, with benefits beginning immediately! Ideal candidates.

  • 6 months+ of related experience OR have graduated from an ASHP accredited training program.

  • Registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.

  • PTCB certified; or successful completion of exam within 6 months of hire

SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Involves all aspects of the medication use process, including procurement, prescribing, compounding, dispensing, storage of medications, administration and monitoring. Partners with physicians and other clinicians to provide treatments and advice to patients, records patient history relating to medication use and ensures the safe and secure storage of medications and related supplies. Advises physicians in determining the best possible treatments for specific diseases, stays current on pharmacy regulations, treatments and developments in research and design. Pharmacists are the experts on drug therapy and the primary health professionals who optimize use of medication for the benefit of the patients. Meets educational needs of patients, healthcare team, students and residents. Ensures adherence to regulatory and fiscal requirements.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Medication Orders
Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment.

  • Compounding
Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.

  • Phone Triage
Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage.

  • Medical Claims
Performs insurance adjudication.

  • Inventory Management
Performs medication storage inspections. Interact with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified via Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or eligible for certificatio Registered with Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as a Pharmacy Intern OR at least 6 months pharmacy related experience

Preferred:
One year of experience preferred; hospital pharmacy technician experience is ideal.
