Petroleum Supply Technician

Petroleum Supply Technicians oversee the Army's use of petroleum. These Soldiers are trained to operate a variety of equipment used in the distribution of petroleum. They fuel Army vehicles and aircraft and make sure petroleum is handled safely and according to protocol. These Soldiers work in all types of weather and a variety of conditions. An interest in and affinity for shop mechanics and business math will serve you well if you plan to enlist in this job.

Duties

· Issue and dispense bulk fuels stored in distribution facilities

· They stock bulk and packaged petroleum

· Handle accounting duties for any inventory received

· Soldiers are responsible for selecting and submitting petroleum samples for laboratory testing

· Make sure units have the fuel they need

Position Requirements:

  • Attend Basic and advanced training (Paid)
  • Complete the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
  • No Experience Required

  • Age - 17 to 34 years old
  • Education - Current Senior in High School(HS), HS Diploma, GED or higher
  • Citizenship - U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • Submit to background and medical screening
  • Must meet qualifications to enlist or commission into the Army
