Pet Grooming Assistant

**Please note this position includes Pet Care And BathingPet Care Specialist/Bather job includes:

• Caring for pets who are boarding, at the spa or playing in doggie daycare
• Feeding, walking, medicating, exercising
• Caring for our facility and sanitizing pet boarding spaces
• Working with pet owners to establish pet care routines in their absence
• Photographing and videoing pets to send updates to their family
• Assisting in grooming pets, bathing, brushing and coat care, and trimming nails according to established company protocols.
• Laundry and cleaning
• Computer work and typing/texting
• Proper use and maintenance of all types of equipment and tools when bathing/finishing a pet
• Greet clients promptly and cheerfully, provide useful and upbeat, positive, and polite feedback regarding their pet’s stay.

Our ideal candidate is able to work on their feet for up to 10 hours daily and is able to move up to 40 lbs unassisted. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, lifting, walking and standing are all functions required of this position. Working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and cats is also part of the job.
