ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.
- Promotes and communicates Legendary Service and honors and upholds the mission of the organization.
- Responsible for acting and responding in a professional manner.
- Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure the following tasks are completed on a daily basis: beds are made; trash has been removed from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
- Carries out Health Center department duties on a regular basis, acting within the reasonable scope of practice for a Personal Care Attendant.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred. Successful completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course as required by state law. Current CPR certificate.
Experience and Basic Knowledge:
CPR Certified
Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
Physical and Environmental Requirements: Balancing, Kneeling, Reaching, Crouching, Pulling, Standing, Manual Dexterity, Pushing, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting up to 40 pounds
Sensory and communicative activities with or without prosthetics of this position are: Feeling, Smelling, Hearing, Speaking, Seeing
An individual in this position will be exposed to:
Inside/outside environmental conditions
Bloodborne pathogens
Respiratory infections
Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of this position.
