Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Tasks associated with this role will primarily be the transport of patients, equipment and supplies associated with pre and post- surgical patient population, and room turn-over.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
1:00-9:30pm Monday-Friday
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
Excellent customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identify patients according to hospital policy
Transport patients from designated areas within hospital to/from peri-anesthesia or surgical destinations
Procure linen, supplies and equipment as directed by peri-anesthesia staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Work requires ability to independently transport stretchers and hospital beds throughout hospital.
Work requires ability to independently transport supplies, linen and equipment as directed
Work requires ability to respond to and interact with all stakeholders with the PACT standards.
Work requires ability to devise creative alternatives and suggestions to workflow constraints.
Work requires a change agent attitude that includes flexibility and adaptability to perform in a high volume facility
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in a hospital or hospital clinic environment. Routine walking, climbing, lifting
