Performance & Learning Consultant is responsible for understanding the goals and strategies of the organization, and how individual, team, management and leadership performance impacts the performance of the organization. To have the greatest impact, needs assessment and analysis is done to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve performance through the development of behavior-based, skill-based and knowledge-based competencies. Once priorities are identified, this role creates learning programs from the design phase to the implementation phase using available resources and managing external resources. Multiple types of programs and delivery methods are used. Evaluation is done to ensure program objectives are met. Generally, this position will involve 10% strategy development/analysis, 20% project management, 40% design/development and 30% delivery including facilitation as well as preparing other trainers to facilitate.
As a senior position within the learning and development team, identifies tools and knowledge that will enhance the competency of the team and shares in team meetings and through train-the-trainer activities.
Create and administer needs assessment to identify performance improvement/enhancement opportunities at the team level and the organizational level. Identify and prioritize learning needs and develop strategies to address them.
Manage projects initiated within the OD and Learning department as well as projects created by requests from internal members- set achievable timelines and milestones, keep stakeholders involved and informed, manage to budget.
Design and develop learning programs in a variety of modalities including instructor led, virtual/webinar, discussion/networking, self-paced and e-learning.
Develop measurable learning objectives and outcomes for all courses delivered.
Conduct train-the-trainer sessions which prepare trainers, managers, learning partners and subject matter experts to deliver classroom and virtual training sessions and on-the-job training which successfully meets learning objectives.
Facilitate instructor-led classroom and virtual training.
Evaluate results of learning and development programs using Levels 1-4 evaluation tools. Identify areas for continuously improving on L&D deliverables based on the data collected both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Demonstrated proficiency with online learning tools, learning management systems (LMS) and other technologies as needed to deliver effective training programs.
Works collaboratively with TMOD and HR colleagues on cross functional projects

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development or related field required
Experience:
5 years experience in a learning and development role in a service industry including but not limited to instructional design and development using at least 2 delivery methods, facilitating interactive learning sessions and managing projects/creating deliverables that impact performance of individuals, teams and organizations.
