Job Description

Harris County is looking for a PeopleSoft Technical Developer to join our Universal Services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting ERP systems, including extensive experience in Financials and/or HR implementation, upgrades, and migration projects. Additionally, develop and maintain PeopleSoft applications, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, ongoing maintenance, and the resolution of system issues.

  • Designs, codes, and unit test complex projects.
  • Develops and maintains integration between PeopleSoft and external applications.
  • Identifies developmental or design risks and action plans.
  • Develops and supports new and existing reports.
  • Assists with upgrades and prepare data mapping for conversion projects.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in multiple technical areas and serves as a lead technical resource on projects.
  • Coordinates directly with the customer to ensure that a high level of satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of PeopleTools 8.55 or above.
  • Three (3) years of PeopleSoft 9.2.
  • Three (3) years of developing Application Engines, Application Packages, SQL’s, and PeopleCode.
  • Three (3) years of reporting development experience in BI Publisher, SQR, PeopleSoft Query and flat files.
  • Three (3) years Integration Broker and WebService development experience a plus.
  • Experience with change management tools like Phire or Stat.
  • Effective written and verbal communications a must.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a project team.

Preferences

  • Two (2) years of PeopleSoft production support experience.

LOCATION:
  • Houston TX
HOURS:
  • Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm
  • 40 hours a week
  • May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends or on-call 24 hours a day to meet special projects or deadlines.
  • Subject to performing other duties as assigned.
SALARY:
  • Depends on Qualifications
  • Based on 26-Pay Periods
