Are you looking for a career to help people but do not have a degree in behavioral health. Lived experience is valuable to us as we are seeking a Peer/Recovery Support Specialist. A qualified candidate will have personal experience in receiving behavioral health services, have successfully navigated through the behavioral health system, and is ready to help others on their personal journey.

The candidate selected for this position will be eligible for a sign on incentive.

Qualifications Required

  • HS diploma or GED; has been a consumer and is successfully navigated their journey to recovery.
  • Peer Support/Recovery Support Certification will be required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, home telephone, and reliable transportation.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and CPI.
  • Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
  • Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekend with prior advance notice.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Experience working in Integrated Healthcare, Behavioral Health or Residential.
  • Advanced knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity.
