Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Ageless Living Home Health is seeking a (Full Time/ Part Time) Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our #TheraGator Crew. We are looking for a career minded individual to add to our family. You will be servicing our #GatorKids throughout Austin Texas( Travis, Hays and Caldwell Counties) and surrounding areas.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:

• Plans activities and provides occupational therapy services

• Records type of treatment and patient's reaction to it on clinical/progress notes, which are written on the day of the visit and incorporated in the patient's record weekly.

• Utilizes community resources and Agency personnel for proper referral

• Be supervised by an OT as follows: Follow guidelines for supervision as outlined by the Executive Council for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners

• Confirms, on a weekly basis, the scheduling of visits with the Therapy Coordinator to coordinate necessary visits with other personnel

• Participates with staff, supervising OT, patient, and physician in discharge planning activities

• Performs telehealth visits with company platform

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of a 2 yr. Associates Degree

• One (1) full year of supervised work experience preferred

• Licensure or certification by the state of Texas as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

• Must have current auto insurance coverage

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Capability to lift, guard, transfer, and maneuver patients of all sizes and weights, utilizing assistance or special equipment as needed on a recurring basis and in a safe manner

• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to safely apply all necessary modalities and operation of equipment.

• Must be able to follow written procedures and verbal directives.

• Mobility to work with young clients

We are currently performing TeleHeatlh visits upon client’s request. We have our own platform set up and provide that access to our therapist. All therapists are provided proper PPE Kits for when doing home visits.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
