What you will do in this role:
- PBX operators answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate destination.
- Demonstrates a service excellence attitude and acts quickly to diffuse any concerns and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Communicates effectively with customers, visitors and staff through managing on-call schedules, overhead pages, and answering calls in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to maintain privacy and security of Privileged Health Information (PHI).
- Forwards calls to correct recipients and contacts.
- Demonstrates proper use of equipment including: radio, beepers, telephone system, TDD phone.
- Exhibits thorough knowledge of codes and alarm systems and is able to execute the procedure for responding to each.
- Communicates with Security and identifies and reports potential security risks for campus and individuals.
- Keeps constant communication with Registration and informs them of any potential issues.
Qualifications
What qualifications you will need:- Previous PBX Operator experience preferred
