We are currently seeking an expereinced payroll professional to manage payroll tax data and agency accounts, work with tax filing vendor to reconcile and file payroll taxes and resolve agency inquiries, process Corporate Executive payroll, assist with post processing tasks, including wage and tax balancing, funding and reporting.Responsibilities:
How you will make a difference:

  • Prepare weekly funding of payroll taxes, including maintaining the wage and tax registers for all operations and submitting tax files to vendor for processing.
  • Manage existing state and local tax accounts; including opening and closing accounts as needed.
  • Review and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes between company and vendor files. Ensure quarterly and annual filings are approved timely.
  • Assist with year-end processes including W2 review, preparation and distribution, system testing/closing, audit, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for payroll and tax related general ledger accounts assigned.
  • Manage SUI rates in conjunction with IT and tax vendors.
  • Prepare and process full cycle (from time records through payment), multi-state bi-weekly payroll processing for the Corporate Executive Officers and other assigned properties.
  • Verify employee records based on documentation provided by HR.
  • Maintain employee tax and direct deposit settings for assigned employees.
  • Coordinate with HR to correct any employee record issues as needed and/or process adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and prepare any required journal entries.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for all employee related changes and periodic payroll reports in accordance with department and company guidelines.
  • Entry and reconciliation of imputed earnings and benefits including; auto allowances, group term life insurance, disability insurance, fringe benefits, etc. for assigned employees.
  • Maintain payroll integrity by reviewing payroll activity and support all Xanterra properties with the processing and approving of individual operation payrolls.
  • Manage 3rd party sick pay data including validation, processing and related reporting.
  • Provide assistance to employees and field payroll team members as needed.
  • Produce/update process documentation for all tasks.
  • Assist with system testing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience processing payroll
  • High school diploma / GED required
  • F.P.C. preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures; including pay calculations, pre-tax and post-tax deductions and basic tax regulations.
  • Infor/Lawson software experience a plus.
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, in both remote and in-person environments.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $65,000.00.
