NM Residential has an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team at our corporate office in Fairview Park.
This individual is responsible for entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs. The Payroll Specialist calculates wages, benefits, deductions, garnishments, commissions, rent, etc. This individual will prepare and process payroll, prepare payroll reports and ensure compliance information is entered as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee which includes electronic time clock information
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
- Responsible for the completion of garnishments, child support, vacation/pto time, benefits, uniforms, commissions, rent reduction, etc.
- Work with Managers for missing time or information needed for payroll purposes
- Prepare payroll reports for management approval
- Process benefit enrollment, termination, and Cobra
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Work with HR Director on assigned projects
- Work with Management on assigned projects
- Assist HR Director with open enrollment for benefits
- Ensure compliance for all payroll reports and information
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate Degree preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of previous high-volume experience in payroll processing
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
- Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
- Trustworthy with attention to detail
- Confidentiality in all areas of payroll
- Outstanding organizational ability
- Excellent communication skills

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
