Job Title: Payroll & Accounting Manager

Job Location: East Coast – REMOTE (Candidate MUST LIVE in EAST COAST TIME ZONE, No westcoast candidates please)

Requirements:
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10+ years prior relevant experience in accounting or related discipline, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Experience processing payroll and payroll laws for the US including California.
  • 2+ years working for a 50+ person company or more




What You'll Do:
  • Process both hourly and salaried payroll on a weekly and semi monthly basis.
  • Invoicing customers: accounts payable and receivable
  • General bookkeeping
  • Audit/Accounting Advisory experience with international or national accounting firms servicing publicly traded clients
  • Familiarity with accounting standards applicable to the government contracting industry (e.g. long-term construction accounting) and revenue recognition principles in general
  • Researching appropriate accounting or other guidance to respond to technical accounting inquiries
  • Ability to prepare and make effective presentations to management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
