Payment/Refunds Operations Specialist II

This Payment Operations Specialist II position works in the payment posting department. The daily work flow for this position will be posting daily payment files along with resolving multiple WQ issues.

• Processes daily payment files.
• Corrects errors in remittance WQ's.
• Works complex Oncology infusion accounts.
• Works facility based payments that require extensive research and understanding of facility payments.
• Works directly with hospital department to resolve complex facility payment errors and credits.
• Reviews and resolves reconciliation issues.
• Interprets remit codes to properly post payments.
• Corrects or credits payment disputes in Epic payment WQ's.
• Identifies trends and report to leadership.
• Reviews information from payers regarding refunds and recoups.
• Understands insurance remittance & EOB'S.
• Work with the leads to research and resolve unapplied payments.
• Posts self-pay patient payments (via credit cards & checks).

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant experience.

• Facility (hospital) experience.
• Extensive knowledge of posting payments.
