Job Description

The Operations Support Specialist provides leadership by monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting improvements to management concerning the work distribution and performance within a cluster and/or production unit in accordance with company policies, company procedures, and department standards. This individual performs research and analysis, maintains department files, reports, and documentation. This individual also provides administrative and back up support to the management.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provides leadership by monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting improvements to management concerning the work distribution and performance within a cluster and/or production unit.
  • Performs research and analysis.
  • Develops, generates, and distributes various reports including, but not limited to, client reviews, departmental procedure updates, employee and departmental production and quality reports, etc.
  • Maintains department files, reports, and documentation.
  • Provides administrative and back up support management.
  • Completes testing for system changes.
  • Provides customer support assistance.
  • Assists in executing cross training, works with management to ensure performance goals are met, and provides evaluative feedback to employees as appropriate. Assists with the preparation of performance reviews.
  • Advises management of performance and/or attendance issues that need to be addressed.
  • Provides input and makes recommendations to improve overall quality and efficiency of workflow processing through interactions with assigned work group and other departments.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with Cass policies and procedures including assisting with the daily and weekly payroll timekeeping updates for management approval.
  • Works overtime as requested by management.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS/ABILITIES AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability in a production oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience in an industry with comparable characteristics as Cass.
