Job Description

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates patient care by managing phone calls using proper phone etiquette.
  • Provide friendly and excellent customer service.
  • Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Maintains appointment schedule and manages recalls for providers and testing.
  • Maintains electronic medical record, including the patient chart. Performs tasks (including linking, uploading, and referrals) in support of patient care.
  • Ensures patient confidentiality by honoring the HIPAA Privacy Standards and OSHA.
  • Assists providers when requested.
  • Schedule and precert outside diagnostic test.
  • Keep fax work queues up to date.
  • Assist with checking in patients, collecting copay's and past due monies.
  • Performs all special tasks and duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • EMR skills/Eclinicals a plus
  • Must know how to type
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency on a computer
  • Speed and accuracy
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must understand the importance of HIPAA and OSHA standards
