Patient Intake Representative - MEDcare/Health First Charleston, SC

We are focused on markets/geographies with growing populations that utilize urgent care where we can become a leader by acquiring and/or developing new centers in partnership with leading urgent care providers and health systems.
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Patient Intake Representatives to join our team of medical staff at our MEDcare and Health First Urgent Care centers in the Charleston, SC market. Roles and Responsibilities
Our Patient Intake Representatives are critical to the successful operation of our clinics and patient health. As a Patient Intake Representative, you will be responsible for direct patient care including greeting and assisting patients, checking in and out patients, verifying insurance and answering phones. The centers are open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program or prior Medical Assistant training preferred.
• Medical Assistant new graduates will be considered
• Prefer experience with insurance providers
• Previous medical office experience a plus
• Clinical experience in a medical office required, urgent care or emergency department preferred
• RMA, CMA or EMT Certification preferred
• Knowledge and proficiency with EMR systems preferred
