SHIFT: PRN
SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PCT assists Licensed Nursing Personnel. The PCT assists patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment. The PCT must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. The PCT must assist the licensed nursing personnel in meeting the education, physical, and psychosocial needs of patients based on their age-specific needs. The PCT must involve the patient, parent, and family/significant other in the plan of care. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

It is home to the area’s only comprehensive cardiac, neuroscience and women services programs. Our Women & Children’s Center provides Level II and III neonatal intensive care units, high-risk obstetrics, a breast diagnostic center, a designated pediatric unit, and the area’s only pediatric emergency department.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 2 years of current/recent experience as a C.N.A. in a hospital or nursing home setting required.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Texas Required
    • Verifiable on the D.A.D.S. website

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
