Position Summary:
The emergency department at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is a designated area-wide level II Trauma Center. Apply to learn more.
As a PCT you will function as a technical assistant and practice partner with the registered nurse. You will perform moderately complex patient care duties.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Licensure/Certification:
Current Maryland CNA certification
CPR certification - AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
Experience:
Previous PCT experience preferred but will consider newly certified CNAs
Knowledge/Skills:
Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situation in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matter, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.
