Job Description

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

SUMMARY: Under the direction of clinic leadership, represents LoCICERO MEDICAL GROUP during patient check-in and check-out processes, greets and assists patients and guests, serves as primary operator for multi-line telephone system, schedules patient appointments, documents messages, directs all incoming calls to the appropriate extensions, and maintains an orderly and professional front office image.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Provide professional image to all LoCICERO MEDICAL GROUP patients and guests

§ Act as representation of LoCICERO MEDICAL GROUP when assisting with all incoming

calls, and direct callers to appropriate extensions

§ Appropriately handle patients’ questions and requests

§ Provide precise information when answering general inquiries

§ Assist patients with check-in process as necessary

§ Verify patients’ insurance benefits

§ Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of lobby and lobby restrooms

§ Schedule patients’ clinical and in-house diagnostic appointments

§ Utilize software to input and retrieve patient appointment data and patient information

§ Notify patients of changes and/or cancellations as necessary

§ Responsible for daily faxes

§ Perform incidental job-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

§ Proof of high school graduation or GED

§ One year experience in a medical clinic desirable

§ Experience with clerical duties and telephone operator preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

§ Ability to multi-task

§ Ability to maintain confidential information

§ Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of people, sometimes under stressful conditions

§ Ability to use independent judgment

§ Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

§ Skill in the use of electronic medical records

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

§ Successful candidate must submit to pre-employment and random drug-screening, as well as a background and criminal history check

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT:

§ Work requires moderate speed and keyboard accuracy

§ Work is normally performed in a typical interior-office work environment

§ No or very limited physical effort required

§ No or very limited exposure to physical risk

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
