POSITION SUMMARY:

To assist the professional staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care to include phlebotomy, and materials management and maintenance as directed by the professional staff and in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.CertifiedNursing Assistant, Certified MedicalAssistant and/or Patient Care Technician license/certification or enrolled inthe second year of Nursing school with the Fundamentals of Nursing coursepassed and completed. BLS certified through American Heart Association.

Training:
FullMonth of Day Training Required for this position.

EXPERIENCE:
CertifiedNursing Assistant, Certified MedicalAssistant and/or Patient Care Technician license/certification or enrolled inthe second year of Nursing school with the Fundamentals of Nursing coursepassed and completed. BLS certified through American Heart Association.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Qualifications may vary depending on assigned area. Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods, handle frequent interruptions, and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team, staff, and co-workers. Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the patient care needs.
