Job Description

CHA Everett Hospital is a busy community hospital, offering inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital operates 112-beds and provides intensive care, telemetry, mental health, and medical-surgical services. CHA Everett Hospital has a two (2) room OR and one (1) endoscopy room. A 24-hour emergency service is also on site. Outpatient care at this campus includes surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, specialty care, primary care, and behavioral/mental health programs.

The Medical Intensive Care Unit provides interdisciplinary care for patients with a variety of serious medical conditions in a technologically advanced environment. MICU is a closed run by pulmonary/critical care specialist physicians and patients are frequently on ventilators and vasopressor support. We have 6 Critical Care Intensivists. A resident team, each led by an attending who specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Daily multidisciplinary rounds at bedside to discuss patients' plans of care.

The Patient Representative II in the Intensive Care Unit performs clerical, administrative and nursing assistant duties as assigned or required by the unit (ICU) workload. Serves as an informational resource for non-clinical information for patients, visitors, physicians and other CHA personnel. The Clerk Aide will perform work as directed by the charge nurse.

Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
American Heart Association Bacis Life Support (BLS) certification required.
One year experience as nurse aide as well as unit clerk
Massachusetts Nurse aide certification required or enrollment in a nursing program with at least 1 medical clinical rotation completed.
Knowledge and experience working with computers required.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program preferred.
