Parts Warehouse Attendant- Cleveland, Ohio JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Warehouse Attendant provides support to the Parts Department staff, performing a variety of tasks and duties. They delivers parts, supplies and materials, in addition to performing other warehouse duties within the Parts Department. Complies with safety incident reporting and ensures all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, both internal and external, and for maintaining company provided assets.

The Parts Warehouse Attendant provides support to the Parts Department staff, performing a variety of tasks and duties. They delivers parts, supplies and materials, in addition to performing other warehouse duties within the Parts Department. Complies with safety incident reporting and ensures all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, both internal and external, and for maintaining company provided assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Safely picks up and delivers parts and other materials from technicians at customer sites, vendors, suppliers, storage units, etc.
- Inspects, monitors, and maintains delivery vehicle.
- Provides support to Parts counter, Shop and Field technicians.
- Conducts warehouse, van, and consignment inventory cycle counts as required.
- Maintains open lines of communication with Parts Department team members, informing them of missing inventory and/or other issues.
- Acts as an outside Parts representative, and liaison between technicians, customers, and suppliers.
- Ensures Towlift property is maintained to the company’s 5S standards.
- Establishes consistent communication with internal customers and keeps them informed of work status.
- Maintains an orderly parts warehouse and performs general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Completes all picking, packing, shipping and receiving functions for customers and technicians.
- Processes inbound shipments from all suppliers, and accurately recovering freight charges.
- Processes outbound shipments through UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, etc.
- Physically able to move heavy items, boxes, tires etc.
- Accurately assigns bin locations as necessary.
- Leads by example in promoting a safe workplace. Follows Towlift’s core safety values and ensures basic safety standards are adhered to including SDS, PPE, JSAs, and customer safety rules.
- Reports any safety violations or incidents to the Parts supervisor or other lead member immediately.
- Operates lift trucks for basic material handling and loading and unloading of trucks.
- Identification of hydraulic hose and fittings for assembly.
- Requests additional tasks and projects to prevent down time.
- Always maintains professionalism on the job.
- Is reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical certification preferred.

- One or more years of experience in a material handling or automotive industry preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.
- Auto parts store experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Professional appearance.
- Must be a friendly ‘people person’ with a positive attitude.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
