Large truck dealership looking to hire a Parts Counter Representative for their Medford, NY location! Offers competitive pay, benefits and room for growth in the organization.

Job Description:

This location is part of a family of dealerships, covering New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We are looking for an individual (experience preferred) that understands the medium and heavy duty truck industry. The position is responsible for our walk-in, phone, and email order handling with focus on researching, locating, and supplying the necessary parts to our customers. This position reports to the Parts Manager at this location.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Utilize the parts look-up programs to determine correct parts and quantities needed
  • Communicate with the Service and Parts Department, as well as the customers
  • Provide parts utilizing on-hand inventory, branch transfers, warehouse ordering, and local purchases
  • Assist the Parts Counter staff with walk-in, phone, and internet sales as workflow dictates
  • Position requires working Monday-Friday, with potential Saturday shifts dependent upon workload
  • Meet and exceed sales goals as established to ensure continued department profitability
  • Maintain a clean and well organized work environment
  • Contact customers and prospective customers to earn repeat and new business
  • Work with management to understand company goals and company mission
  • Generating appointments and repair orders using our various web based programs and Dealer Management System
  • Reports directly to the Branch Manager

Qualifications:

  • Medium and Heavy Duty truck parts experience preferred
  • Computer skills and ability to navigate web-based catalogs and resources
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. without assistance
  • Great communication and verbal skills a must
  • Positive, professional, dependable and punctual
  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire requirements for MVR clean driving report and drug test
