Job Description
Mosaic is a construction technology company focusing on homebuilding. We serve as a turn-key general contractor for medium-sized homebuilders while also developing a software platform that we use to automate and streamline our construction operations. Our vision is to leverage our platform to create the world’s most scalable homebuilding operation and to empower homebuilders everywhere.
Today, with our Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, $24M+ in total funding, and a recent $100M partnership with a best-in-class, innovative homebuilder, we’re launching our platform to build better communities together with our partner towards our mission of making places people love and making them widely available.

We have one speed at Mosaic: full speed. With over 100 homes under active construction, we have an incredible advantage over the rest of the construction technology industry. Our ability to move quickly, stay nimble, and embrace change is critical to maintaining that advantage. Our strategy, projects, titles, and focus may change. But what will not change is our speed. Individuals who exhibit and resonate with these values are likely to find success with us. You can read more about Mosaic and our mission here.
About the Role

Expanding our market footprint and customer base through targeted, data-driven, and strategic relationships is a core focus of the Growth Team at Mosaic. To support this effort we need an experienced associate to seek out and present rich data sets that can enhance our awareness of the homebuilders, developers, subcontractors, and vendors in our current and future markets. This role will entail tracking residential real estate projects through the approvals process, identifying and outlining key performance indicators for potential customers in our areas of operations, and surveying and relationship building with all the various stakeholders involved with growing Mosaic’s business externally.
Our core technology distills order from the chaos of high-volume production homebuilding, and we need individuals who embrace ambiguous challenges, thrive under pressure, and derive joy from team wins. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in residential real estate-related analysis, financial analysis, demographic research, oral and written presentation, and project underwriting.
We promise to provide a skill-building experience with a team that is geared to grow quickly, and strategically, to enhance the way homes are built and delivered today.

In this role, you will be:
    • Supporting and enhancing the Growth Team by data mining across diverse data sets regarding land acquisitions, permit activity, mergers and acquisitions, and macro/micro housing market trends
    • Generate a database of prevailing market fee and cost structures for general contractors, homebuilders, and developers across multiple geographies
    • Support key business analytics and key performance indicator generation
    • Surface detailed and actionable quantitative/qualitative research
    • Perform data aggregation, interpretation, and presentation
    • Prepare presentations and memorandums for the executive team
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses for all facets of the Growth Team
    • Management of CRM platform for tracking new customers/opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
    • 3-5+ years of experience in housing-related research, financial analysis, or consumer insights
    • Undergraduate degree, business, economics, finance, data science, or construction management preferred
    • Strong presentation, written and oral, skills
    • Demonstrated success working with large datasets
    • Experience with Tableau, Google Suite, Notion, CRM tools, and Asana a plus
    • Action-oriented with an operations mindset

We Promise You:
Competitive salary with substantial equity and 401(k); medical, dental, vision and life insurance; sincere commitment to your growth.
