Part-Time Activity Aide

The PARC Joliet Nursing Facility in Joliet is looking for an out-going, compassionate, and motivated Activity Aide to join our Long-term and skilled nursing facility!

This person would help in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing activities on the units and on community outings with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, facility established policies and procedures, and would be directed by the Director of Activities. Our goal is to assure that an on-going program of activities will meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of each resident.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma.

• Demonstrate adequate English oral and writing skills.

• Must have a high level of organizational skills, initiative, creativity, and communicate well with others.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine, repetitive job duties.

• Uses skill and understanding in handling residents.

• Be considerate, pleasant, and professional in the performance of his/her duties.

• Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly.
