1. Compliance:
Who’s qualified to be a Compliance Analyst?
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required. Two years of equivalent experience can substitute for every year of education. NAFCU and/or CUNA Compliance Certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry, bank or credit union, to include a minimum of five years in a compliance role performing similar responsibilities is required
Software: A minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry, bank or credit union, to include a minimum of five years in a compliance role performing similar responsibilities is required

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Compliance Analyst:
1. Compliance:
- Under the direction of the VP of Compliance, maintains the credit union’s compliance management program.
- Performs research to ensure the credit union’s compliance program and products comply with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements.
- Disseminates information regarding laws and regulations to appropriate departments and facilitates and tracks necessary changes.
- Reviews all marketing materials and website pages to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Manages, develops, and maintains the Environmental Risk Scan process to provide management with notification of risks related to credit union compliance.
- Monitors the progress of all proposed changes to federal and state financial institutions, advises management as to the operational impact of the changes, and assists in the implementation of new and regulatory changes as necessary.
- Develops changes to credit union procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Drafts and revises procedures for the Compliance Department. Assists departments with operational processes to ensure compliance throughout the credit union.
- Conducts research and provides written responses (as applicable) to inquiries of a regulatory or compliance nature.
- Conducts the annual Compliance Risk Assessment and participates in regulatory risk reviews.
- Provides compliance support for existing, proposed, and new credit union products, services, and promotions.
- Prepares documentation for audits and examinations.
- Reviews and assists with member and credit union related compliance and legal situations.
- Assists Legal Department and Branch Support staff with the administration of various compliance and legal processes.
- Assists with member complaints related to compliance and legal issues.
- Reviews branch operations and departmental procedures for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Answers questions from Branch and Department staff members regarding policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.
- Participates in the revision and/or design of forms and products to ensure compliance.
