Job Description
The Paralegal at Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls (the “Destination”), part of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (the “Company” / NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW), will work with our legal team to provide various support functions to our growing business teams, particularly in the areas of intellectual property (“IP”), commercial transactions, and real estate. Prior experience handling IP (particularly trademark and copyright clearance), commercial and/or real estate matters is highly desirable. The ideal candidate would be a sports enthusiast, including a passion for football. This position will report directly to our General Counsel at the Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company. - Support IP enforcement activities, including anti-counterfeiting, trademark, and copyright enforcement.
- Conduct trademark searches, review watch notices, and manage domain name registrations as needed.
- Execute tasks assigned by attorneys/business leaders relating to the implementation of the Company’s IP strategies and policies.
- Track status of IP matters, coordinate incoming and outgoing file transfers, and manage execution of formal documents to meet deadlines.
- Organize IP files, agreements, and other operational documents.
- Assess compliance needs with General Counsel.
- Review media projects in development to provide IP clearance and confirm compliance with applicable regulations, company standards and industry standards.
- Support the legal team with general corporate and commercial matters.
- Assist legal team with a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including media and licensing agreements, service agreements, retail and office leases, confidentiality agreements and related legal documents.
- Help create procedures and practices with the legal team to promote efficient workflows, including creating and managing form banks and templates.
- Track status of various contracts and documents, and prompt internal stakeholders regarding status.
- Maintain repository of contracts and other key legal documents.
- Work on projects and perform legal research on various topics as assigned.
- Perform other general legal and administrative responsibilities as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.

- Paralegal Certification highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with IP law.

- Comfortable engaging with senior executives across a host of disciplines and business verticals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
