The pace of powder paint operations is dictated by the automated paint line. Powder paint remains at a constant rapid pace throughout shift. This is a 1st Shift Position, 40 hours per week plus Mandatory Overtime, Including Saturday Overtime. Overtime is Required.
Paint Setups are primarily responsible for the following:
- Perform part count, Align color paint sequence, Setup auto paint line (build up and tear down)
- Perform chemical testing, Perform data collection
- Perform all aspects of Paint Manufacturing Operator (MO) position
- Perform inventory control procedures/paperwork/computer work
- Not Climate Controlled, Very Hot during the summer.
- PPE- Safety glasses or goggles, Leather, Kevlar, and cotton gloves/sleeves, Hearing protection (where applicable), Chemical PPE (Tyvek suit, and rubber nitrile gloves), OSHA – approved respirators, Arm Sleeves
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass Respiratory Physical and cleared to wear required OSHA respirator
- Color, distance and peripherial vision
- Basic Math skills and ability to learn basic chemistry skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English
- Ability to Stand, Walk, Forward Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl and Twist
- Ability to work at a range of 0-60"
JOB CLASSIFICATION: VERY HEAVY
Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects, including the human body. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Heavy work.
